Firefighters from North Chicago responded about 2:08 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022 to a report of a large outdoor fire at the Mulch Center, 3023 23rd Place in North Chicago. Engine 152’s crew discovered the fire was coming from the Mulch Center at about 2:24 p.m.
Firefighters from Beach Park, Lake Bluff, Waukegan and Lake Forest respond either at the scene or at North Chicago fire stations while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
Out-of-town crews were released beginning about 5:05 p.m. Sunday.
Winds on Sunday, November 20, 2022 were from the south and southwest about 13 to 18 MPH and gusting 20 to 26 MPH.
