Police from Buffalo Grove responded about 10:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 to a report of shots fired near Bowlero Buffalo Grove, 350 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove.
At least 36 shell casings were discovered Friday night in an investigation that began when evidence that shots were fired was discovered in the parking lot near the bowling facility southwest of the intersection of McHenry Road (Route 83) and Townplace Parkway in Buffalo Grove Town Center. At least 36 shell casings were discovered in three areas of the parking lot. At least one vehicle was struck by gunfire, according to a source that wished to remain anonymous.
No shooting victims were discovered, and paramedics in the immediate area and surrounding suburbs did not respond to any reports of gunshot a victim in the connected timeframe.
Police checked for security video evidence of the shots fired that took place, but the result of the evidence search is unknown. No suspect or vehicle information was available as of Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
There was no mention of the incident or the investigation on the official Village of Buffalo Grove website, or any official social media, such as Facebook or Twitter.
