Police from Rolling Meadows and firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, September 21 2022 to a report of a stabbing victim located near Rohlwing Road and Euclid Avenue in Rolling Meadows.
Police discovered a victim in or near a passenger vehicle in the northbound lane of Rohlwing Road almost half way to Campbell Street from Euclid Avenue in the residential neighborhood.
The stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital, and police shut down Rohlwing Road between Campbell Street and Euclid Avenue.
Police were gathering evidence and photographs taken by an investigator at the location where the car was stopped in the northbound lane of Rohlwing Road. Before taking photos of the car, police were working at a house on the east side of Rohlwing Road where crime scene tape was set up in the area for an investigation perimeter.
There was a car parked in the driveway with a broken rear window with a hole about the size of a 16-inch softball in the window. Police were also taking pictures of evidence on the sidewalk which may have been drops of blood.
Arlington Heights Police Department assisted rolling Meadows police officers at their crime scene.
