A Lake Forest resident has been indicted on 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Paul Salgan, 41, was arrested in July 2022, at his home after the Lake Forest Police Department received information from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that Salgan had been using the Internet to access images and movies that constituted child pornography.

After being arrested in July 2022, Salgan’s bond was set at $200,000 and he was able to post 10% cash, $20,000.00.
According to the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, under the SAFE-T Act, going into effect on January 1, 2023, defendants charged with sex crimes, such as Child Pornography, will not be granted bond before trial if a judge orders them detained.
