Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 to a report that a man was attacked in a parking lot at Costco, 1375 North Meacham Road in Schaumburg. Police are investigating a possible strong arm robbery at or near Costco. A witness provided a tip to CARDINAL NEWS that they saw a young adult black male attacking another person in the parking lot.
Initially, there was no information whether the other person was transported to the hospital. Another witness reported a large police presence at Costco on Meacham Road just north of Golf Road.
Strong-arm robbery is defined as theft with the use of physical force that causes bodily injury or a theft that occurs when the threat of bodily injury exists.
