Huntley Firefighters Extinguish One of Two Reported Vehicle Fires on I-90 on Friday

Firefighters from Huntley Fire Protection District and Illinois State Troopers responded about 5:11 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 to extinguish a fully-involved car fire on I-90 westbound west of Sandwald Road near Huntley.

Huntley Fire Protection District firefighters cover 10 miles of Interstate 90 near their district.

The vehicle fire on I-90 near Sandwald Road (near Mile Marker 44.8) was one of two fires reported on I-90 on Friday, August 12, 2022.

A vehicle fire was also reported on I-90 westbound east of Barrington Road near Mile Marker 63.0 at about 12:09 p.m.
