Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:13 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2021 to a report of a crash with injuries on Sigwalt Street west of Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights.
Police received a report from a 9-1-1 caller that the driver of a white Jeep SUV was driving erratically off the road. The Jeep may have hit a light pole, and a witness reported the white Jeep SUV sideswiped a US Postal Service delivery van.
The white Jeep Renegade came to rest across the parkway and a sidewalk on the eastbound side of Sigwalt Street, and also across the right turn lane to southbound Arlington Heights.
The driver of the Jeep Renegade was evaluated by paramedics and may have been transported by paramedics to Northwest Community Hospital. The driver was not on the scene at 3:32 p.m. The crash may have been caused by a medical issue involving the driver of the Jeep Renegade.
No pedestrians or other motorists were injured.
