Police from Chicago responded about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 to a report of a robbery at an undisclosed establishment in the block of 300 South State Street Chicago.
Police received a report that a 56-year-old female was working a storefront register when an unknown male entered the establishment, displayed a firearm, and demanded the cash register contents. The victim at the cash register fled through the front door.
Later, the victim returned to find the cash drawers were empty with an unknown amount of currency missing and the offender no longer on scene. No injuries were reported and no offenders are in custody. Area Detectives are investigating.

Located a little further from the scene is the Chicago Board of Trade Building, The Art Institute of Chicago, and Buckingham Fountain.
