Two hurt in single-vehicle rollover crash southbound Route 53 between Rand Road and Palatine Road YouTube Tips ⓘ
Illinois State Police, Palatine Police Department and firefighters and paramedics from Palatine responded about 9:01 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 to a report of a rollover crash with possible ejection on southbound Route 53 south of Rand Road near Palatine.
Firefighter/paramedics upon arrival discovered two victims — an adult male and an adult female. Both patients were conscious and breathing. Their vehicle, an Acura sedan, was upside down in cattails in a ditch off the right shoulder of the southbound lanes of Route 53. The crash was located just northeast of the intersection of Wilke Road and Victoria Drive in Palatine.
The female patient may have been ejected, and was transported to an unspecified hospital by Palatine Fire Department paramedics. The male patient was ambulatory and was transported to Northwest Community Hospital by Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics, who were assigned at 9:12 p.m. as a second ambulance.
