Police, firefighters and paramedics from Buffalo Grove responded about 11:42 a.m., Sunday, July 3, 2022 to a report of a townhouse fire in the block of 900 Pine Tree Circle in Buffalo Grove. A caller reported seeing smoke coming from the basement windows, and said that they made an attempt to alert any residents that might be inside.
While responding a crew reported a smoke header and upgraded the fire to a working fire response. Fire quickly spread through the roof and upward at the rear balconies.
Fire communications did not indicate any reports of injuries, but no official report was available on injuries initially.
A MABAS Division 1 Box Alarm #26-F2 was activated at 12:10 p.m. by Buffalo Grove fire command after command announced operations were going defensive.
Fire command declared the fire was knocked by about 1:28 p.m.
