Police from Morton Grove and Metra, and firefighters and paramedics from Morton Grove responded about 1:13 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train at Morton Grove Metra train station, 8501 Leehigh Avenue in Morton Grove.
Metra Train #2607 struck a pedestrian and came to a stop about one-quarter mile north of the Morton Grove train station. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the train incident involved the suicide of a 48 year-old female/white victim.
