Police, firefighters and paramedics from Lake Zurich responded about 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2022 to a report of a three-vehicle crash with injuries at Rand Road and Clover Hill Lane in Lake Zurich.
At least one patient in a white Chevy Traverse in a ditch required minor extrication. A total of three white SUVs were involved in the crash. Eight patients were transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and possibly Advocate Condell Medical Center.
Crash victims were described as adult and juvenile patients with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening.
Rand Road (US-12) was blocked in both directions initially, and then at least one lane was re-opened northbound. As of 4:35 p.m. Google Maps Traffic Layer showed lanes closures on the southbound side of Rand Road.
Fire/medic crews from Barrington Fire Department, Palatine Fire Department, Palatine Rural Fire Protection District, and Wauconda Fire District were assigned mutual aid to the crash scene.
