Police, firefighters and paramedics from Rolling Meadows responded about 12:13 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 to a report of a vehicle crash with a motorcycle with the motorcyclist down on the road.
Police, firefighters and paramedics discovered a motorcyclist down, but that the driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcyclist had fled the scene in their vehicle. The damaged and separated front bumper and license plate from the offender’s vehicle were left behind at the scene.
Witnesses told police the offender fled eastbound on Euclid Avenue after the crash occurred just east of Plum Grove Road. One motorist followed the offender, and police apparently had a good description of the offender, and the offender’s vehicle along with the license plate.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital by Rolling Meadows Fire Department paramedics.
