Police, firefighters and paramedics from Glenview responded about 10:49 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 to a report of a shooting at the Motel 6 at 1535 Milwaukee Avenue in Glenview.
A 9-1-1 caller reported a man down near a dumpster at the Motel 6. Police discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound and secured the scene. Glenview Fire Department paramedics treated the wounded male, and transported to Glenbrook Hospital. According to the Glenview Police Department, the victim was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital.
The shooting incident is being investigated by the Glenview Police Department’s Investigations Unit. The preliminary investigation revealed a 39-year-old male victim was battered and shot during an argument with a known suspect. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
According to the Glenview Police Department, the shooting is believed to be an isolated circumstance and no known threat to the public exists.
