Police officers from Barrington Hills responded about 2:52 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2022, to an activated residential burglary alarm in the block of 500 Oak Knoll Road in Barrington Hills.
Upon arrival police officers discovered that an unknown subject attempted to gain access to the home through an unlocked door, but was warded off by the activation of the burglar alarm system. Avideo surveillance system captured an image of the suspect in the investigation of the attempted burglary.
As always, please remember to lock all doors and windows when not at home, and at night, and always utilize your burglar alarm system.

Barrington Hills police request that any citizens that can identify the suspect in the photo, please call the Department’s Investigations Division at 847-551-3006.
Residents are also asked to check their video surveillance systems for any suspicious persons or activity around their home and contact this same Department.
