A man walking his dog witnessed a shots fired incident with about 19 shots fired in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago early Sunday morning, March 27, 2022, according to a tweet by @CPD1617Scanner. The witness did not take proper cover for himself and his dog.
In the video, two males are in a red pickup truck with an extended cab, and the driver makes a right turn into an alley and stops. The driver in a yellow high-visibility hoodie exits the driver’s seat and walks about 50 feet to take cover behind a gray sedan parked at the curb. The passenger jumps into the driver’s seat of the pickup truck.
The driver in the yellow hoodie is armed with a handgun and waits for a silver sedan to pass the vehicle parked at the curb. As the silver car passes, the male in the yellow hoodie opens fire at the silver car. About 18 or 19 shots are heard. From the view in the video, it’s impossible to determine whether all of the shots are fired from the driver in yellow hoodie, or if some shots are fired from an occupant in the silver car.
The driver in the yellow hoodie returns to the pickup truck and reaches for the rear door to the back seat of the extended cab on the driver’s side, and the video ends.
The video does not show that anyone was injured.
This was early this morning on Chicago's south side in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
No one was injured.
I worry the dog may be a bit traumatized after that, however. pic.twitter.com/ny0gH9tIPv
