Police, firefighters and paramedics from North Chicago responded about 5:39 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 to a report of a shooting in the block of 1200 Park Avenue in North Chicago.
Police arrived immediately and determined the scene was secure, where a male victim was shot in the chest. Paramedics moved up to assess the victim. The condition of the victim, transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital, was initially unknown.
Police are looking for a suspect wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The suspect is reported to have fled in a yellow 2002 Subaru. The suspect is described as a male/black wearing a face mask, and was last seen northbound Sheridan Road at Grand Avenue in Waukegan.
