Police and firefighters and paramedics from Elk Grove Village responded about 9:52 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 to a report of a crash with injuries at Elk Grove Boulevard and Tonne Road Elk Grove Village.
Crews on arrival discovered a serious T-Bone type crash in the intersection with one person unresponsive and entrapped in the vehicle. The incident was upgraded to an extrication response by 9:54 a.m. The unresponsive patient was extricated by about 10:18 a.m. and transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. A second person involved in the crash declined medical treatment and transport to a hospital.
Traffic delays appear to be more significant on the northbound side of Tonne Road. A wide center divider separates northbound on southbound lanes on Tonne Road.
