The Park Ridge Police Department is investigating a homicide after a shooting left a Skokie, IL man dead in the 200 block of North Grace Ave. YouTube Tips ⓘ
Police from Park Ridge responded about 8:11 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 to a report of shots fired in the block of 200 North Grace Avenue in neighborhood of one-story townhomes in Park Ridge. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene about 8:29 p.m.
Upon arrival police officers searched the area and located an unresponsive victim down on a driveway. Police discovered the victim had multiple gunshot wounds, and determined the scene was safe, according to the Park Ridge Police Department. Next, police began providing medical aid to the gunshot victim and Park Ridge Fire Department paramedics moved up to provide Advanced Life Support treatment.
The male gunshot victim was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Park Ridge police are investigating the fatal shooting, and declared that the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident with no danger to the public.
The Major Case Assistance Team is assisting Park Ridge Police Department with the homicide investigation.
