Illinois State Police announced at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 that a 1 year-old child kidnapping victim and a stolen vehicle were found at 156th Street and Langley in South Holland, Illinois. The location involved side streets in a neighborhood of single-family homes just west of Cottage Grove Avenue at the border of South Holland and Dolton, and just south of Thornridge High School in Dolton. The victim and vehicle were subjects of an AMBER ALERT.
The offender was at large after the vehicle and child were found. The offender was described only as a male wearing dark clothing.
The AMBER ALERT was issued about 10:40 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 for the abduction of a 1 year-old girl who was in a white BMW SUV when it was stolen from south suburban Dolton, Illinois near the Food4Less and Circle K gas station and convenience store, 1008 East Sibley Boulevard in Dolton.
The white 2015 BMW X1 SUV had license plates CR 30318 when it was stolen.
The child’s identity was released by police as Carleigh Mackey. She was described wearing a leopard-printed snowsuit and white/pink pajamas. She was found safe and sleeping inside the white BMW SUV in South Holland about one mile south-southwest of the scene in Dolton.
Immediately after the kidnapping, the vehicle, offender and victim had been seen heading westbound Sibley Boulevard heading toward Harvey.
