Illinois State Police and firefighters and paramedics from Rolling Meadows responded about 6:14 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021 to a report of a crash with injuries on northbound Route 53 near Kirchoff Road near Rolling Meadows. The crash was located near the exit ramp to Kirchoff Road.
Firefighter/paramedics received a report from Illinois State Police that paramedics were needed at a crash scene where a trooper was already on scene.
Rolling Meadows firefighters on arrival reported two or three vehicles on the scene with one semi-trailer truck also on the scene.
The crash involved an SUV and the semi-trailer truck. One person was reported injured in the SUV. A second ambulance was requested by 6:24 p.m. Paramedics treated and transported two Basic Life Support (BLS) patients.
