The Lake County Farm Bureau is partnering with the Kentucky Farm Bureau by collecting monetary donations to help Kentucky farmers and communities devastated by the catastrophic tornadoes last week.
Lake County Farm Bureau will be accepting monetary donations through Monday, January 3, 2022 and will match the total donations received (up to $2,000 total). Checks received from the general public and the Lake County Farm Bureau donation will be sent directly to the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation to be used for relief efforts and rebuilding. “The Kentucky Farm Bureau Relief Fund will be used to aid those families and communities beginning the long process of rebuilding after these destructive tornadoes,” says Gregory Koeppen Lake County Farm Bureau Executive Director. “Farmers throughout Kentucky have lost livestock, homes, farm buildings, grain bins, and pasture land fences,” adds Koeppen.
“Lake County residents have reached out to us during the past few days asking how they can help. This donation drive is a simple, yet effective way for us to help our neighbors to the south rebuild and recover,” says Koeppen.
Check should be made payable to “Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation” and denote “KFB Relief Fund” on the check memo line. Send checks to Lake County Farm Bureau Atten: Kentucky Relief Fund 70 US Hwy 45 #120 Grayslake IL 60030 by January 3, 2022.
