The parents of Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley — James Crumbley and Jennifer Crumbley — were arraigned on live television about 9:30 a.m. ET Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Oakland County, Michigan court via a zoom call.
UPDATE:
Parents pleaded not-guilty. Question of flight risk after the parents were found hiding, locked in a room in a commercial building. Defense team attempted to blame prosecutor Karen McDonald for using the media to surprise the defendants, who became afraid. Prosecutor Karen McDonald replied the defendants did not need permission from anyone to turn themselves in at any time. Bond set at $500,000 (10%) for each suspect. If released, each parent is subject to a GPS tether.
The parents’ son, Ethan Crumbley, is a suspect facing multiple charges as an adult, including four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, 12 counts of possession of a firearm, and one count of terrorism causing death.
