Kildeer police and firefighter/paramedics from Lake Zurich responded about 5:09 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 to a report of a house fire in the block of 21400 North Meadowlark Lane in Kildeer.
Paramedics assessed at least one resident where the resident was sheltering at a neighbor’s house.
Firefighters were in defensive mode immediately on arrival, and immediately called stand by for a MABAS Box Alarm. A MABAS Division NUMBER Box Alarm #32-2 was activated at 5:16 p.m.
Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Cary, Crystal Lake, Fox River Grove, Long Grove, Nunda, Palatine, Palatine Rural, Rolling Meadows, Wauconda, and Wheeling, were assigned mutual aid at the scene.
Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Carpentersville, Lake Bluff, Mundelein, and Wheeling were assigned to stand by at Lake Zurich fire stations.
Engine 324’s crew on arrival reported a fully-involved house fire in a large 2-story house with fire blowing out the front and right side of the house. On further investigation, firefighters discovered the house was also fully-involved at the rear of the house.
The MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm Box #32-2 was activated at 5:15 p.m.
Meadowlark Lane was closed down at Cuba Road at about 5:15 p.m.
