Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:21 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 of a Suspicious Person near an apartment building at 4212 N. Bloomington Avenue.
The complainant reported she just observed a subject on her back patio. The subject ran away after the complainant looked out her window. No description was provided of the subject. A patrol officer check the area, and no suspicious persons were found. Police officers also stood by while the complainant walked to her car for work.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:55 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 of a Suspicious Incident reported in the block of 100 South Ridge Avenue.
An unknown subject knocked loudly at the front door three times. No entry was made to the house. No subjects or vehicles seen in the area. A patrol officer checked the area and nothing suspicious was
noted.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:47 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 of a possible failed attempt of a ruse burglary in the block of 1000 South Chestnut Avenue. The complainant reported an unknown subject came to the elderly mother’s residence and claimed there was a sewer problem in the backyard. The subject requested the mother meet him in the backyard. The mother refused and the subject departed the area in a white pickup truck.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:53 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 of a suspicious male subject walking up and down driveways along Derbyshire Lane. The suspicious person was last seen walking eastbound in the neighborhood.
A Ring camera captured an image of a suspicious male/black in the same time period Thursday, November 4, 2021. The suspicious person was caught on camera checking doors and walking in between houses in the area near Carlyle Place from Mayfair Road to Wilshire Lane in the Stonegate neighborhood in Arlington Heights. The location of the Ring camera that captured the image of the suspicious person is southeast of the 200 southeast of the Derbyshire Lane address in the same neighborhood.
The suspicious person on Ring camera was described as a male/black, tall, wearing a dark gray hoodie, a light blue shirt Champion brand shirt with writing across the chests, and light blue or light gray baggy pants.
A Ring video camera captured a suspicious person in the neighborhood and showed him opening a door and possibly looking in a garage window, and then walking into a side yard between two houses.
Arlington Heights police reported they checked the area and a subject was not located. Also, there were no signs of criminal activity. A witness in the neighborhood said that police contacted a suspicious person Thursday morning, and that he was not arrested. This call may have been a separate Suspicious Person call that was not included on this weekly report from the Arlington Heights Police Department or there is an error in the report.
Arlington Heights police received a delayed report about 9:07 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 of a suspicious person on a bicycle in the block of 900 South Dunton Avenue. Police received a report that on Monday, November 1, 2021 at about 2:30 p.m. a male subject asked to use the bathroom at the complainant’s house. When the resident declined, the subject asked to urinate on the side of the resident’s house. The subject left the area. The suspicious suspect was described as a male/black subject, approximately 50 years-old, wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 10:54 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 of a suspicious person at the Red Roof Inn, 22 West Algonquin Road. Police received a report that a male/black suspect, approximately age 35, was knocking on the complainant’s door on five separate occasions. The suspicious person appeared homeless, according to the complainant. Police checked the area and the subject was not located.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:28 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 that a Ring camera captured a suspicious incident at the front door at about 8:02 a.m. in the block of 1300 South Yale Avenue. The Ring camera captured an image of suspicious person attempting to open the complainant’s front door. The suspicious person was described as a male/black subject in his mid-30s, tall with long black dread locks. Initially there was no vehicle known to be connect to the suspicious person. Police officers checked the area, and did not locate the subject. The residence appeared secure, and there were no signs of forced entry.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:05 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 of a suspicious person in the block of 1400 Allison Court. Police received a report that a suspicious person was observed going door to door checking door handles. The suspicious person was described as a male/black subject, approximately 20 years-old, wearing a gray hoodie, a white T-shirt, and jeans. The incident occurred 15 before the police were called. Arlington Heights police checked the area, but the subject was not located.
