If the plotted epicenter is accurate, the epicenter was located at a depth of 12 miles under Hastings Lake or near Hastings Lake in the Hastings Lake Forest Preserve about 6.5 miles northwest of Six Flags Great America in Gurnee in Lake County.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) did not report any incident in Lake County on October 29, 2021.
