CARDINAL NEWS | Homeless Man Stabs Another Homeless Man on Pace Bus, Libertyville, Vernon Hills Area
**********************************
Paramedics treated the victim and transported him to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Apparently there was a fight on a PACE Bus, and the victim was stabbed outside of the bus — possibly on Milwaukee Avenue just south of Greggs Parkway.
Initially the offender was reported to be on the scene, but police did not initially confirm whether a suspect was in custody.
Initially a caller incorrectly reported the victim was at the Walgreens at 261 West Townline Road in Vernon Hills, which caused a dispatch of Vernon Hills police and Countryside FPD firefighters and paramedics to the Walgreens on Townline Road about 2.6 miles away. Countryside FPD firefighters and paramedics continued to the correct scene at the Walgreens near Milwaukee Avenue and Greggs Parkway, and Libertyville police, firefighters and paramedics were also dispatched.
Libertyville Police Department is investigating the stabbing.
