EXPECT… Low temperatures in the low to mid 30s will result in frost formation. Some of the typically colder locations could drop below freezing for a time early Saturday morning.
WHERE… Portions of north central and northeast Illinois.
WHEN… From midnight tonight to 8 AM CDT Saturday.
IMPACTS… Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left
uncovered.
Clouds are forecast to decrease gradually overnight and are forecast to keep temperatures steady underneath them — and keep frost from forming until later toward dawn. The clouds also greatly reduce any concern for a Freeze in north central Illinois, as any 30-32 temperatures are likely to be short lived near dawn. Frost in Arlington Heights would likely occur between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and the low is forecast to dip to 35°F about 7:00 a.m. O’Hare is forecast to dip to 38°F about 7:00 a.m. (with no Frost Advisory).

Wet & blustery weather will arrive Sunday & continue through early Monday. Steady rain will turn heavy at times in the afternoon and some storms are possible as well. While it has been dry overall, 1-3 inches of rain & leaf-clogged drains may result in minor flooding. #ILwx #INwx pic.twitter.com/c3KTneumH0
