Naperville police responded about 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 to a report of an armed bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank, 2644 Showplace Drive on Naperville’s south side.
A male offender displayed a black handgun during the robbery. The suspect is described as a male/black 5’9″ to 5’10” weighing 170 to 175 LBS. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants with black stripes on the sides, light-colored shoes, dark gloves and a dark face covering.
The suspect fled on foot, and was last seen westbound on White Eagle Drive near the White Eagle Golf Club which is located northwest of the Fifth Third Bank.
Neuqua Valley High School and seven other Naperville area schools were locked down Tuesday morning as police searched the area near 95th Street and Route 59.
Crone, Scullen, Gregory, Clow, White Eagle, Kendall and Fry schools were locked down, according to a message Indian Prairie Unit District 204 sent to parents and guardians.
The lockdowns were cleared around 11:00 a.m.
