Tornado Watch
A Tornado Watch was activated by the NWS Storm Prediction Center at 2:40 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 and is in effect until 10:00 p.m.
The peak time for thunderstorms in Arlington Heights and nearby communities is 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Forecasters predict a band of convection developing southward across northern Illinois with embedded supercells capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and a couple of tornadoes.
