Police from Arlington Heights responded about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2021 to a report of a disturbance at Jewel-Osco, 440 East Rand Road in Arlington Heights. Two Arlington Heights police officers met with a male adult and a female adult carrying a female toddler, who were still on scene when police arrived.
The details of the disturbance were unknown, but the disturbance was apparently serious enough that the male and female adult were issued a “no trespassing” warning and are not allowed to enter the Jewel-Osco at 440 East Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
The adult male and female were warned by police that store officials can call the police if they enter the store, and that police can arrest them for trespassing. There were no arrests Sunday afternoon.
A witness said there were words exchanged in a cashier’s checkout lane at the front of the store, but the details of the words exchanged were unknown. Also, the witness did not know who was involved in the disturbance besides the adult couple.
