Illinois State Police and firefighters and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 9:23 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 to a report of a serious rollover crash with entrapment on westbound I-90 west of Roselle Road near 64 Mile Marker near Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.
Schaumburg firefighters on arrival reported an SUV rolled over with heavy damage. The SUV crashed against the guardrail.
Firefighter/paramedics worked with extrication tools to free a person from a crashed SUV. A second ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
Additional vehicles were possibly crashed near the 64.5 Mile Marker. Lanes 3 and 4 were shut down near the crash scene.
Schaumburg firefighters reported two vehicles involved with one patient at Mile Marker 64 and an unknown number of crashed vehicles further down at Mile Marker 64.5. The patient was extricated from the rollover SUV at Mile Marker 64 by 9:44 a.m.
Westbound I-90 was backed up almost to the area of the Topgolf location in Schaumburg.
