Police, firefighters and paramedics from Spring Grove responded about 11:05 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 to a report of a head-on crash with injuries at 8107 Wilmot Road — a commercial and rural roadway in Spring Grove.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics on arrival discovered a Pontiac G6 and a full-size Ford Pickup truck involved in a head-on crash with the driver in the Pontiac G6 trapped in the car.
A LifeNet medical transport helicopter was assigned to the scene, and took a landing zone at Spring Grove Horse Fair Park, 8105 Blivin Street, less than two miles west of the crash scene.
One driver was transported by the helicopter and the other driver was transported by Spring Grove FPD rescue ambulance.
The Major Crash Assistance Team was called in to assist the Spring Grove Police Department with the crash investigation. Wilmot Road was closed until about 4:00 p.m. Monday, and the crash investigation is ongoing following the on-scene investigation.
The Speed Limit on Wilmot Road is 50 MPH, according to a Google Maps Street View image captured August 2019, and the crash scene was located near a slight curve in the roadway.
