Illinois State Police and firefighters and paramedics from Northbrook responded about 4:27 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 to a report of a crash with injuries and a report of a vehicle in the water in the Skokie Lagoons area near Northbrook.
A crash involving four vehicles with one into the water occurred on the northbound lanes of I-94 WEST and caused the one vehicle to leave the roadway and land in the water northwest of Lagoon No. 6 near the North Branch Trail and south of Dundee Road. The crash location on I-94 was located at Mile Marker 30.7. Three crashed vehicles remained on the roadway of Interstate 94.
Paramedics on scene reported one person injured. The person made it to shore before paramedics reached him, and was then assessed by paramedics. Several people helped the crash victim before paramedics arrived.
