Police, firefighters and paramedics from Hoffman Estates and Bartlett responded about 8:06 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 to a report of a crash with injuries on Sutton Road (Route 59) near Hoffman Estates in Hanover Township.
Bartlett and Hoffman Estates fire rescue crews on arrival reported a van under a box truck in the southbound lanes of Sutton Road north of Shoe Factory Road with all crash victims out of the vehicles. Paramedics were assessing two patients. Initially one patient was a confirmed transport and another patient was being evaluated by paramedics.
Traffic on Sutton Road was slowed down in both directions, especially southbound at 8:20 a.m. Southbound Sutton Road was backed up just past Interstate 90 at 8:20 a.m. The crash occurred in a southbound lane just north of Shoe Factory Road.
