Police, firefighters and paramedics from Hoffman Estates responded about 5:07 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 to a report of a shooting at or near the Red Roof Inn, 2500 Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates.
Police discovered a victim in a white SUV nearby in the northbound lanes of Barrington Road south of Lakewood Boulevard about one mile north of the Red Roof Inn.
A witness at the scene said police might be investigating the possibility of a prostitution transaction that went bad that involves a prostitute, a client, and a pimp. Initially it is unknown which subject was the shooting victim.
