Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:44 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 to a report of a stabbing on Falcon Drive east of Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights.
Police arrived on the scene first and discovered the offender had fled the scene. The scene was secured and Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics located three injured victims. At least one victim was stabbed.
At least one person was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with apparent life-threatening injuries. A second person was transported with injuries not specified. A third injured person was treated at the scene and refused medical transportation.
Falcon Drive was closed in front of the entrance to the Forest View Racquet & Fitness Club. A new model silver Kia Soul was parked at the curb in front of the tennis club with a small amount of blood near the driver’s side front door and rear door handles. A large amount of blood was on the street near the curb behind the Kia Soul. A baseball bat and sandals were also located in the grass parkway near the curb. A cell phone was also located in the grass parkway further from the vehicle.
Initially it is unknown whether the baseball bat was used as an offensive or defensive weapon, or whether the baseball bat was used as a weapon at all.
The stabbing is reported to have occurred at about 7:43 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021. Initially police are investigating a suspect wanted for aggravated battery described as a male/Hispanic, age 22, 5’9″ 130 LBS with brown hair and brown eyes, and armed with a knife.
The suspect fled in a white Lexus sedan.
The victims appear to have been targeted, but initially there was no statement from the Arlington Heights Police Department regarding whether this was a random attack or a targeted attack.
