Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) cancer care services will host a virtual session on chemobrain for those with cancer and for their loved ones. This free event will be held virtually Monday, April 26 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Chemobrain can cause memory problems, trouble focusing on tasks, and difficulty with finding words or managing daily activities.
Presenter Ronald J. Shade, M.D. is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He will define chemobrain, explain who gets it, explain how long it can last, and suggest how to manage life with it.
Dr. Shade has been with NCH since 1998 with his practice at Northwest Oncology and Hematology.
The event is free, but registration is required to receive an access code. Please RSVP to Vanessa Grazian at [email protected] or by calling 847-618-6660.
Questions may be submitted in advance to [email protected] or included in the chat box feature during the live event. For more information about cancer care services at NCH visit www.nch.org/cancer.
