Police, firefighters and paramedics from Lake Zurich responded about 3:54 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 to a report of a bush fire 24205 West Cuba Road in the Cuba Marsh in Deer Park. Lake Zurich Engine 321, on arrival by 3:58 p.m., reported a lot of smoke showing but couldn’t see the fire.
Wind was from the South at 23 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH at 3:51 at O’Hare International Airport.
Wind was from the South at 29 MPH with gusts to 37 MPH at 3:52 at Chicago Executive Airport.
Dispatch reported winds South at 35 MPH
A MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm #32-71 was activated at 4:04 p.m. on orders of Lake Zurich Fire Battalion 32.
Northbound Ela Road east of the scene was backed up to Long Grove Road at 4:45 p.m..
A MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm #32-71 was upgraded to the Second Level at 4:50 p.m. on orders of Lake Zurich Fire Battalion 32.
