The Arlington Heights Police Department released additional security images of a bank robbery suspect and his vehicle that were discovered as part of an investigation of a bank robbery this past Wednesday afternoon at the TCF Bank at the Jewel-Osco at the northwest corner of Arlington Heights Road and Golf Road.
The offender is described as a male/white or possibly male/Hispanic in his 40’s or 50’s. He is approximately 5’8″ and 160 LBS. He was wearing a black and white colored baseball hat with writing “COMMAND”, a gray colored gaiter face mask, a green colored long sleeve T-shirt with writing “BAD & COUGIE”, khaki cargo shorts, gray colored socks, and black colored shoes. The offender appeared to have a brace or bandage around his left leg. The offender left in a 2018-2020 Toyota Camry SE without a rear registration plate, and was last seen traveling W/B on Golf Rd from Algonquin Rd.
Police from Arlington Heights responded about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021 to a report of an armed robbery that occurred about 3:28 p.m. at the TCF bank at the Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road near Golf Road in Arlington Heights.
The suspect was initially described (and later updated for accuracy) as a male, age 35, 6’0” 150 LBS, medium complexion, wearing a white and blue hat that is blue in the front and white in the back, green long-sleeve shirt, khaki shorts, and blue shoes.
Three days later, a statement from the FBI’s Chicago office indicated that the male offender entered the TCF branch area of Jewel-Osco and demanded money from the teller while implying he had a weapon.
In the FBI summary, the FBI described the offender as a male/white, thin, 5’7″ 160 LBS, approximately in his late 30s to early 40s, wearing a BLACK-and-white baseball cap with a dark face covering, a green long-sleeve shirt with writing on the back, khaki cargo shorts, gray socks, and black gym shoes.
The baseball cap was actually black or dark green in the front (including the visor) and white in the back. The front panel of the baseball cap also had writing inside a rectangle. The face covering was a gaiter type mask.
The suspect fled in a dark gray or silver 4-door or coupe, and was last seen on Golf Road.
