Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Evanston responded about 11:50 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 to a report that several people were shot in the block of 1800 Hovland Court in Evanston.
At least three ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Staging for some emergency equipment was on Emerson Street near Hovland Court north of the scene. Evanston police released information at 12:44 p.m. that three male adult victims were transported from the scene, and that all three suffered gunshot wounds. Two are critically injured and one has suffered injuries initially believed to be non-life threatening, according to Evanston Police Department.
Traffic was congested or may have been blocked along Emerson Street, but may have re-opened about 12:30 p.m. The crime scene is located just north of Evanston Township High School.
