Cook County Sheriff’s Police responded about 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 to calls of shots fired in the parking of an apartment complex in the block of 2200 West Nichols Road in Palatine Township (unincorporated Arlington Heights).
Upon arrival, Cook County Sheriff’s officers learned that the drivers of two vehicles attempted to run over an unknown subject in the parking lot. Witnesses also stated they heard gunshots being fired, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
The subjects in the parking lot observed by witnesses were gone on arrival of the Cook County Sheriff’s officers.
Initially, no injuries were reported, and no damage to the surrounding area was discovered. The investigation is ongoing.
