Northbrook police responded about 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021 to a report of an armed carjacking in the block of 800 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook.
A carjacking victim told police that his gray 2020 Range Rover was stolen while he was inside a store in the block of 800 Skokie Boulevard. The offender was in the victim’s Range Rover and displayed a handgun when the male victim came out of store. The carjacker then fled with the stolen car and turned on Dundee Road toward I-94, the Edens Expressway. A conflicting report stated the offender fled with the vehicle southbound on Skokie Boulevard and then southbound on Sunset Ridge Road.
A chase vehicle with accomplice was described as a black Infinti with tinted windows.
The gray 2020 Range Rover was recovered in Chicago by about 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
