Police, firefighters, paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 2:08 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021 to a report of a serious crash with entrapment on Golf Road and National Parkway. Firefighters on arrival discovered a motorcycle collided with a white Lexus SUV requested additional crews for extrication and/or extra personnel.

One person was reported dead at the scene, and one person was seriously injured according to the Schaumburg Police Department. The motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the white SUV, and the motorcycle frame split in half upon impact. The Lexus was severely damaged on the passenger side.
Firefighter/paramedics worked with extrication tools to free at least one person from a crashed vehicle. Four ambulances were dispatched to the scene — three ambulances from Schaumburg and one ambulance from Rolling Meadows. One ambulance may have been assigned standby for extrication operations.
The Major Case Assistance Team – Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (MCAT-STAR) team was on the scene for an extended on-scene investigation, including aerial drone photography. No initial word from officials, but apparently the white Lexus SUV was northbound on National Parkway and collided with the motorcycle that was westbound on Golf Road. Initially, it was unknown which motorist had the green light.
Sunday afternoon and evening after the crash, Golf Road was closed in both directions between Plum Grove Road and Meacham Road, except for some local traffic. National Parkway was closed at Golf Road.
