Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 8:54 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2020 to a report of a water flowing from a ceiling and smoke entering a residential unit in the block of 2200 Dorchester Court in Schaumburg.
The first fire crew on arrival reported nothing showing, but an odor of smoke was detected.
Interior firefighters were working with tools to expose a fire in flooring or in a wall, and called for an extra truck at 9:09 a.m. A Hoffman Estates truck was assigned.
MABAS Division 1 change of quarters companies were called in to Schaumburg at 9:11 a.m.
Firefighters were opening up a floor and had water on the fire by 9:12 a.m. Interior firefighters reported they were making good progress by 9:12 a.m.
