A woman is in critical condition after being shot during a carjacking in a Wendy’s parking lot in Aurora YouTube Tips ⓘ
Aurora police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 to a report that a woman was shot in the parking lot near the Wendy’s restaurant drive-thru, 1260 North Orchard Road in Aurora.
The injured woman was transported to an Aurora hospital by Aurora Fire Department paramedics, and was transferred by a medical transport helicopter to a hospital in Chicago. She was listed in critical condition late Saturday.

Police confirmed the woman was the victim of a carjacking at approximately 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The offenders abandoned a 2008-2012 Ford Escape at the crime scene.
According to police, the woman’s car was stolen and the incident remains under investigation. Aurora police on Saturday night did not initially provide a description of the victim’s vehicle or the suspects. Aurora police said they were seeking video security images in the area.
