Rescuers responded on Thursday, December 30, 2020 to a quick clay landslide in the Village of Ask within Gjerdum municipality in Norway. At least two persons were killed in the landslide. The slide measured 2300 feet by 984 feet (700m by 300m). The collapse injured at least 10 people with one seriously injured. Initially, more than 10 people were reported missing. Several homes were destroyed, 1000 people were evacuated from the affected area near the village, which been designated a disaster.
