Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 1:11 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 to a report of a rollover crash with injuries in the block of 1000 North Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights. The driver of a white sedan rolled the vehicle, which also hit a very large pine tree on the east side of Arlington Heights Road.
Police were first on the scene and reported no entrapment.
The first fire crew on arrival reported a vehicle upside down on its roof. No extrication was required, and the driver of the rolled car and a passenger were transported to Northwest Community Hospital with injuries that initially appeared to be non-life-threatening. A second ambulance was requested by 1:20 a.m.
The crash was affecting light traffic on Arlington Heights Road blocked in both directions between Willow Street and Oakton Street.
Arlington Heights police are investigating the crash. The Speed Limit on Arlington Heights Road is 30 MPH according to a Google Street View image dated August 2019. Apparently only one vehicle was involved in the crash. The vehicle was on the roof in the northbound lanes with a lot of debris on the roadway and the east parkway of Arlington Heights Road. The crash scene was cleared by about 2:00 a.m.
