Police and firefighters and paramedics from Niles responded about 1:39 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 to a report of a crash with entrapment at Milwaukee Avenue and Greenleaf Avenue near the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Niles.
Firefighter/paramedics worked with extrication tools to free a person from a crashed vehicle. One person was trapped in a van.
A second ambulance was requested 1:40 p.m.
Engine 3’s crew was assigned to stand by with hose line during extrication.

Extrication was complete by 1:58 p.m. The first patient was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
A third ambulance was requested by 2:00 p.m. for a third injured victim — a Morton Grove ambulance was assigned.
