Police from several suburbs, Lake County Sheriff and Illinois State police are investigating and were attempting to locate the subjects of an alleged kidnapping report that occurred in the area of northbound northbound I-94 near Old Orchard Road near Skokie about 10:03 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2020.
The suspect and his green Chevrolet Camaro were in custody with Lakemoor Police Department by 10:45 a.m. possibly near Route 120 and Gilmer Road in Lakemoor. The victim — a female passenger — is presumed safe, but this was not initially confirmed.
Police had been tracking the suspect and his Camaro westbound on Route 60 after a pursuit was terminated in the area of Old Elm Road (Everett Road) west of Waukegan Road in Lake Forest after Highland Park police lost sight of the vehicle, possibly as it turned north on St. Marys Road. The female victim had been waving out a car window.
Lakemoor is located in Lake and McHenry counties and is about 40 miles northwest of Skokie.
